FOTB’09 – My schedule
September 8th, 2009
Thought I’d do one of those posts to let you know what I’m going to try and catch this year. There’s always so many good things on it’s difficult to pick what to go to but hopefully there wont be too many clashes with things I’d like to attend.
Sunday 20th September
- Julian Dolce – iPhone app development for flash developers
Monday 21st September
- Keynote
- Keith Peters – Casual game architecture (or Mike Chambers – Advanced desktop development… a clash already!!)
- Chuck Freedman – Visualizing voice (clients are always asking for this kind of thing)
- Mike Jones – Who’s a bright spark then!
- Thea Eaton – Accessible action games (or Dr Woohoo! – Cybernetic art revisited)
- Hillman Curtis – Telling stories
- Joel Gethin Lewis – Epiphany
Tuesday 22nd September
- Elevator pitch – 3 minute wonders (not sure if 3 minutes is long enough, expect a mess but it could be fun!)
- Grant Skinner – Quick as a flash
- Joa Ebert – Leaving the sandbox
- Richard Lord – Application frameworks
- Paul Burnett – More than bending pixels
- Contrast – Unconventional web applications
- Craig Swann – Choose your own adventure
Wednesday 23rd September
- Â ARRRGHHHH! I want to go to all three. It’s going to be very difficult to miss Andre Michelle but I think I’m going to plumb for…
- Serge Jespers – Flash platform in a multi-screen world… hints at AIR on mobile!
- Mario Klingemann – Connecting the dot (would love to see BitchWhoCodes but you can’t miss Mario!)
- Seb Lee-Delisle – Work/Play (although Hugh Elliott’s session looks good)
- Jam Throwdown – This was great last year, looking forward to it again!
- Ralph Hauwert – Research realtime graphics with Flash
- Joshua Davis – Space
- Closing Ceremony (maybe I’ll win something this year!)
